Zebra Jasper, formed over 600 million years ago, is a metamorphic rock with a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7.0. Made up of Calcium Carbonate and Silicon Dioxide, Zebra Jasper is similar in make-up to marble. Other names for this stone include Zebra Rock, Zebra Marble, and Zebra Agate. This stone can be found in places such as India, Africa, and Russia. However, it was first discovered in Kununurra, Western Australia where it was used as a crystal for protection.
